An update of sorts of the journal I've had for about a month. Changed the number of featured artists from 7 to 12, and gave brief descriptions of why I like them so much. I doubt a feature from me will do much for them, but I feel look someone's gotta give these guys their props.

A great surrealist artist whose best drawings look photorealistic. Favorite pic:

Only 6 drawings, but each one is a masterpiece, several with influences from the Renaissance and Classical era masters. Favorite pic:

Perhaps the best political cartoonist I've ever seen. You may have seen his work in a newspaper here or there. Favorite pic:

Likes to draw pictures of famous rock stars, something I think doesn't get done enough. Oh, and he rocks at it. Favorite pic:

Prefers drawing actors, often with an incredible amount of detail and realism. A series of Twilight pics that looked like screenshots to me at first. Favorite pic:

Another near photo-realist, and the best at drawing water that I've ever seen. Some drawings are indistinguishable from photographs if you don't look closely. Favorite pic:

A cartoonist by trade, with a few other things, but his cartoons usually make me laugh as hard as about anything I find on the internet. Favorite pic:

He's only been around a year, so maybe he'll pick up some more fans. He would deserve it. He draws mostly comic-book style stuff that is more often than not astounding. Favorite pic:

A great portrait artist. Not the most dazzling, but excellent at capturing the spirit of a subject, and it's nice to see someone drawing portraits of a non-commercial nature (old people). Favorite pic:

The only anime artist I'm featuring, someone who is ten times as talented as people who are ten times more popular than her. Draws magical, beautiful anime-style landscapes and fantasies. Favorite pic:

Probably gets the "most unappreciated" title from everyone on this list. Draws fantastic cityscapes and landscapes, and it's downright unconscionable that he only have half the pageviews of a hack like me. WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE? Favorite pic:

Drawings that look like photomanips at first glance, but are really just astoundingly good digital paintings. Favorite pic:

has been technically taken off the list due to extenuating circumstances. He's still an awesome artist, better with pixels than most people are with brushes and pencils, but I don't think it's fair to call him "underappreciated" really. I'm planning on keeping this general journal format for a while, maybe updating it as I find new artists.

NEVER! It's Richard Manuel right now, and it used to be Derek Dick.
